DRONE VIDEO PRODUCTION
Drone Video Production services for businesses, agencies and TV; Made with love in Yorkshire.
Aerial & Drone Video Production, Yorkshire
We’ve been producing beautiful broadcast-quality drone video as standard for a few years. We’ve worked for local businesses and have also been producing drone video for TV regularly. In 2020 our work has appeared on the Discovery channel – Mega Shippers and over the years we’ve worked on other prestigious prime time TV shows, such as those listed below.
We know that different types of clients are looking for different types of drone video, and so we’ve created a couple of different examples of our work to demonstrate this. TV and long form aerial video require much longer shots to enable a voiceover to unfold the story. Carefully composed, beautiful aerial video can really help with this, and so here is our ‘slow cinematic’ showreel, to demonstrate that we can do that:
In addition to this, we have been creating TV advertising of our own – see our TV advertising page.
For other types of drone video and for social media video production, we know that speed and efficiency are important. Creating fast, dynamic cuts, is really important. Here’s a general over view of a variety of shorter clips we can produce. And for those of you who are looking for some internal shot inside your warehouse or factory, please note that we can do that – some examples are included here.
AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY YORKSHIRE:
We’ve been taking aerial photographs for businesses and property owners for years. We’ve worked in the UK and abroad using a variety of drones with a variety of interchangeable lenses to create fully professional aerial photographs. These are high-resolution images that you could use for your business branding. The sky is literally the limit when it comes to the scope of images we can take, and you can use them on your website, social media and marketing material.
What sets us apart is that we take photographs on the ground and in the air too. This means our focus is on the imaging per se. You won’t find us doing surveys and things like that; the drone is a complement to the rest of our corporate and social media video production. As a bonus, it normally doesn’t cost extra when you hire us to create your videos.
We create both drone photography and photography on the ground, please take a look at our photography page for some more examples of the sorts of thing we can create for you.
Drone Video – For Property Marketers
Drone videos offer a unique way of marketing property and let’s face it, it’s not the future, it’s the now.
We are regularly commissioned to create aerial video to help market commercial property all over the UK and especially in Yorkshire. In addition to our photography we can create packages of images from the ground suitable to help you market your property. This can either be white label raw footage for you to edit, or as a fully edited short video to catch the eye of potential investors.
Drone Video – For Vehicle Tracking
We’ve got the right kit to create really awesome vehicle tracking shots too!
Working with two operators, our DJI Inspire 2 can travel at up to 55mph and create shots such as these.
In this example, we split the control of the drone into two parts; one operator fly’s the drone along a predetermined path and takes care of ground obstacles and other things. The other operator has control of the camera and is able to track the vehicle using a separate controller.
The camera on the DJI Inspire 2 is able to rotate through 360 degress and is able to point vertically down and about 20 degrees upwards. This means that it’s possible to create stunning looking images which show off your vehicle in action
Another secret to creating the right feel is to selecting the correct lens. In this example we’ve used a 45mm lens and a 17mm – combined together it’s possible to give the impression of intimacy to the subject and speed as well. The Inspire 2 can track objects itself, but it is invariably better to have ‘eyeballs’ on the task where budgets allow.
Drone Video – It’s not ALL about the drone
We were proud to secure a commission to film drone video for two prime time TV documentaries in 2019.
Firstly, we worked alongside ITN Productions to produce aerial footage for a film about a serial killer. We had to shoot in sensitive and congested areas in and around Luton Airport. This all comes back to planning within the pre-production stage. Knowing the best locations to shoot and who we need to chat with in order to get the drone filming done.
Secondly, we provided aerial filming for 7 Wonder production company in support of a BBC documentary called Hometown. Sticking to our robust process of pre-production, we set to working around the clock filming sunrise to sunset. Alongside stunning landscape footage, we got to fly at night and created some great vehicle tracking shots.
Aerial Video for Agencies & Production companies
If you’ve got a requirement for TV, come and talk to us as early as you can so we can get to work on the pre-production. Using our skills and experience we are likely to know how to get the shots you need with a minimum of fuss – however it sometimes take a bit of time to line everything up.
We’ve worked in the EU and also in outside the EU on a variety of projects. International projects often require more liaison and specialist advice. In Spain for example, the penalties for drone misuse are very high. In Portugal, maps need to be provided and prior notification given, in Austria there is a pay permit system…whereas in Bosnia there were no laws whatsoever until this year. Get in touch with your drone filming requirements!

We fly two different types of drone depending on the requirements of the Job. The DJI Mavic Pro 2, which you can see here;
we use this for jobs where ‘you just need a bit of footage’ or you want to take some drone video of an internal space (it can be fitted with bumpers, though we’ve never had to rely on them!).
We also use it to fly at night because it has an underbelly light fitted. It’s light, fast, and really easy to throw in a back pack if we have loads of other things to do.
We use the DJI Inspire 2 where we need more control over the camera angles or access to Pro Res. We’ve used both in different situations, and both have produced footage which has appeared on the TV – quality isn’t the difference really.
If you want to hire us for a project, get in contact via email. We can fly in pretty strong winds. We provide our official accreditation to you once we’ve been hired and you can download and keep it for your records. With proper planning we can also fly in most places, but there are limits and if you have an idea, then get in contact with us and have a chat.
Terms and Conditions – General:
- We are active on social media. We use, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn and we post to them regularly. Our presumption is that this is permitted, unless you specifically tell us otherwise
- Full payment for all work is expected within 30 days of delivery for business customers
- For consumer customers, full payment is requested prior to delivery. We expect to have to make edits to our work, it’s a perfectly reasonable thing to expect a customer to want.
- Specific permission to land and take off with the drone is required. This is different to having permission to film. If we arrive onsite and are turned away because permission has not been granted, then you will be liable for the full cost of the shoot on that day.
- All aerial tasks are subject to a go/no go decision the day before the task in undertaken. We can fly in winds of up to 20MPH, but we can’t get the drone wet because the batteries don’t like it. Obviously, this can’t be helped and obviously we won’t charge you for it!
