COMMUNITY & CHARITY WORK
Video for local organisations; shot on the ground or in the air. Made with love in Yorkshire.
In 2019 we travelled out to Sarajevo in Bosnia for 2 weeks and created this film for www.healinghandsnetwork.org.uk . The Healing Hands Network offer complementary therapies to people living with the aftermath of the civil war in Bosnia. Their work is a unique offering by the international community in Bosnia, because they are just about the only NGO offering support to people who were raped and mutilated in the conflict. What they offer is not only massage, but love and hope. When we were out there working with their clients, we also found that one key element the clients picked up on, was the international nature of the work; that they continue to offer therapy shows the People there that despite their abandonment during the war, there are good people in the world who are willing to love them.
Messy church campaign
GSMC are a paying client, and also benefit from some free work!
The video you see here, formed part of a campaign. The video was designed to be shown in front of a live audience gathered at the church. A short 15 second Facebook advert was derived from this, and a demographically targeted advertising campaign was deployed into the community. The first messy church was attended by 138 people. Other video content generated for the church led directly to a x10 increase in attendance at some events, and indirectly led to media coverage by the BBC.
www.projectbob.org.uk is a mental health support group we set up in collaboration with the Methodist Church in Knaresborough. The project supports a number of people in the community by providing a space for them to come and either talk (process) about their problems, or just listen and drink coffee. The group is run one evening per week at 8PM We are specifically aimed at helping people on a waiting list for talking therapy, but you don’t need a diagnosis to come along. There are some conditions that we aren’t set up to cater for, but in most cases we can offer some help.
Womens Charity in York
We did some video production for a womans’ charity in central York.
We interviewed a series of service users to the charity, and crafted testimonial videos. These videos are to be shown to a live audience during fund raising meetings. The aim of the videos is to ‘bring the women into’ the meetings so that potential donors can see the need the charity is meeting, and understand the impact their donation could have. Take a look…it’s pretty compelling stuff.
What we do:
We produce video content on behalf businesses, agencies and TV production companies in the Leeds and Yorkshire area from the air and the ground. We work for national brands and small businesses. We are fully licensed by the CAA to fly drones. We create corporate, social media and TV advertising assets as well as photography.
Our Mission is…
…to create financial or social prosperity through the use of video while having fun.
How we do this:
- By listening to what you need and challenging what you think your value is
- By getting you to think deeply about who you are and who your clients think you are
- By doing the right thing
- By encouraging our people
- By buying our equipment from local shops and encouraging the use of local talent
- By turning up on time and doing what we are asked to, professionally and safely.
