ABOUT RADAR FILM
Video for businesses, agencies and TV; shot on the ground or in the air. Made with love in Yorkshire.
What we do:
We produce video content on behalf businesses, agencies and TV production companies in the Leeds and Yorkshire area from the air and the ground. We work for national brands and small businesses. We are fully licensed by the CAA to fly drones. We create corporate, social media and TV advertising assets as well as photography.
Our Mission is…
…to create financial or social prosperity through the use of video while having fun.
How we do this:
- By listening to what you need and challenging what you think your value is
- By getting you to think deeply about who you are and who your clients think you are
- By doing the right thing
- By encouraging our people
- By buying our equipment from local shops and encouraging the use of local talent
- By turning up on time and doing what we are asked to, professionally and safely.
HOW ARE WE DOING?
Pretty good we think! – we are a profitable business built around our values.
We have produced a range of TV assets this year as well as a number of corporate and social media films for Leeds and Yorkshire based clients. We’ve developed creatively and delivered films to our commercial clients which put their values as well as their value at the centre of our product.
We gave away two weeks of time to the ‘Healing Hands Network’ in Bosnia and produced a film to encourage their important work dealing with the aftermath of the civil war. We’ve also produced films in the arts and culture sector on tight budgets with minimal financial profit, and we continue to look for opportunities to work with charities.
We’re also involved in running a local mental health organisation www.projectbob.org.uk
We’ve had two of our work experience people go on to get full time jobs in either marketing or TV production. We’ve been active in developing and encouraging them, in terms of professional development and self confidence, as well as in practical skills around CV writing and ‘showing their best face’.
We’ve also bought every single thing we possibly could from our local camera shop – Bass and Bligh (Bass & Bligh) in Harrogate. It may take an hour to schlep across town and get to the high street but at the end of the day, it’s our high street and if we want a thriving community, we have to make the effort right?
