stunning Social Media Video for your business
Social video for business, agencies & TV; Ground or aerial shots made with love in Yorkshire
Social Media Video: vertical first
Vertical video fills the entire screen on platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts, creating a more immersive experience and giving your content the best chance of stopping the scroll. By filming with a vertical-first approach, we ensure your message looks native to the platform, makes the most of available screen space, and is ready to perform across the channels where your audience spends their time. We can also produce multiple aspect ratios from the same shoot, ensuring your content works effectively across websites, social media feeds and paid advertising campaigns.

optimising for ppc marketing
Modern PPC campaigns rarely rely on a single platform. Your audience may encounter your brand through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube or Google’s display network, each with its own preferred video dimensions and aspect ratios. Producing content that can be adapted for 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 formats ensures your creative assets perform effectively wherever they appear. Rather than forcing one video to fit every placement, we create content that is designed to work across multiple advertising environments, helping to improve visibility, maintain brand consistency and maximise the return on your advertising investment.
The Power of Social Media Video Marketing - local impact
Producing social media film needs to fulfil one basic requirement; relevancy. The reason this film was successful was not because of the quality of the script, which was high, but because of the fact it was tied to a location and to a community. To make your film successful you need to connect to your community. Take a look at our corporate video production page or our talking head production page for other styles of work.
We shot the social media video below for Knaresborough Town Council as a Christmas feature to encourage custom on the high street as the lockdown was easing. It was part of a communication strategy for the town. It was organically shared 265 times locally and hit it’s target of being viewed in the local community.
In many ways, this film did not obey any of the rules set out of social films. It’s un uncharacteristically long film for Facebook, but it maintained engagement throughout and got the message across. We worked with the brilliant Jennifer Howson and the Reverend Garry Hinchcliffe on the production, and the script was written in house.
Social Media Video Production; the impact of good lighting
Lighting is one of the biggest factors that separates professional video from amateur content. It’s not just about making a scene brighter – it’s about directing attention, creating atmosphere and making your brand look its best. Good lighting adds depth, enhances colours and helps subjects stand out from the background, giving your videos a polished, premium feel. Whether we’re filming in your office, on location or in a studio environment, we carefully shape the light to create content that looks professional, builds trust and keeps viewers engaged.
Social Media Video Production: Aspect ratios for social and PPc
If you have a business then you most likely use social media. You have the opportunity to reach a large audience, so getting the right company to make the right film for you will have a huge positive impact.
Here are four examples of different types of corporate film and social media videos. We can produce anything you have in mind for different platforms.
DIFFERENT APPROACHES
Your video can take several forms:
• Story based
• Product based
• Testimonial based
You can even opt for a longer social media film that would work well as a YouTube promotion.
The social media film campaign above, was part of a Christmas campaign taking a funny look at the product in question, and emphasising it’s value to the customer – convenience in social situations.
The below video is an example of a product video with a full lighting rig to emphasise the beauty of the product.
PRE-PRODUCTION
This stage of the process can take some time. It involves looking at your objective and who your target audience will be. Really good advertising evokes an emotion. It shouldn’t seem like you’re selling a product at all.
How we approach this stage depends on you and your business. You might require a detailed storyboard, a visual comic strip of how the video or film will play out. Or we might take a camera, with an idea in mind and see how we go. It needs to speak to the needs of your business and that includes factors such as resources and budget.
